Sambiya River Lodge is situated only 15 minutes from the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls. It is the perfect location for those who want to experience the tranquillity of unspoiled Africa, untouched by mass tourism. Sambiya River Lodge’s unique charm is in the atmosphere of intimacy provided to the guests. Guests stay in any of the 26 double rooms designed as individual and family thatched cottages which have en suite bathrooms, fans, screened doors & windows, mosquito nets, and a veranda to relax and enjoy the commanding views of quintessential Africa. Ten basic Banda’s are also available for guest accommodation. Sambiya allows you to relax in luxury whilst experiencing the sights and sounds of Africa.
Family cottages are available, which consist of two rooms with an interconnecting door. The first room contains a double bed and the second room, two twin beds. We recommend families with two to four children to take this option. If family cottages are booked, full rates are applicable.
If there is a request for additional beds to be added in the rooms, only one camp bed and/or baby cot is allowed per room since the rooms are not large enough to accommodate a third full size twin bed. Mosquito nets are provided over double and single beds, as well as baby cots. It is now possible to fit mosquito nets over camp beds.
Reservations will be acknowledged at the time of booking, but only confirmed upon receipt of prepayment or deposit. This can be done on a cash or Visa credit card basis in person at the Central Reservations office in Kampala or through a bank or wire transfer (for out of country or up country clients).
Non-confirmed bookings will be cancelled without prior notice as other confirmed reservations are received by the Sambiya River Lodge booking office in Kampala. All clients must present an accommodation voucher or proof of money transferred via a banking institution, at the time of check in at the Lodge as proof of a confirmed booking.
